Tuesday blackout caused by Sembcorp, Senoko power-generating units tripping: EMA

Singapore was hit with an extensive blackout on Tuesday (Sept 18) which affected close to 147,000 customers. The blackout was caused by the power-generating units of Sembcorp Cogen and Senoko Energy tripping. In order to restore electricity supply, YTL Power Seraya provided additional electricity to the affected areas until the system was restored....
