Tan Sri Francis Yeoh awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the World Chinese Economic Summit

Tan Sri Francis Yeoh was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for Leadership in Regulated Industries at the 7th World Chinese Economic Summit (WCES), held in London recently. The prestigious annual event brought together over 200 policy-makers, entrepreneurs, researchers and thought-leaders from around the world to discuss topics around the key theme, ‘China and the World: Forging Euro-Asian Partnerships towards Shared Prosperity’.

 

The World Chinese Economic Summit Lifetime Achievement Award was established in 2011 to honor individuals who have made significant fundamental contributions in their respective field of work. The award recognises individuals who have demonstrated a lifetime commitment to ‘make a difference’ and have provided outstanding contributions over to the regional and global community. The Award Recipients are eminent personalities who have distinguished themselves in their industry or profession and is honoured for their dedication, selfless service and innovative leadership.

Ranked as one of “Asia’s 25 Most Powerful and Influential Business Personalities” by Fortune and Business Week, Tan Sri Francis firmly believes in responsible stewardship in business. In 2010, a panel of Nobel Laureates made him ‘Primus Inter Pares Honouree’ of the Oslo Business for Peace Award for encouraging socially responsible business ethics and practices. In the same year, he received the Corporate Social Responsibility Award at CNBC’s Asia Business Leaders Awards.
