The Ploum sofa, designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for Ligne Roset - is available only at its d6 showroom. Conceived by the Bouroullec brothers as a sofa for the diversity of life and the "special moments of the day", the result is a highly organic unity of material and form. The design revolution in Sentul East moves up another notch with the opening of Ligne Roset’s new showroom at d6, Sentul East. The showroom features contemporary European furnishings by the French design brand which includes sofas, bedroom furniture, dining tables and chairs, lighting and accessories such as bowls, vases and rugs.

Mr Bernard Vinson, principal of Ligne Roset who is in Kuala Lumpur for the official opening, has this to share. "2013 is going to be a very exciting year for Ligne Roset in Malaysia. Many of the strategies that we have planned are coming together nicely. Our brand has been present in Malaysia since 2002 when we opened our first flagship store in Starhill Gallery, Bukit Bintang, conceptualized as a lifestyle store aimed at delivering a luxury shopping experience. Until today, shoppers are drawn to the colours and aesthetics of the artistic collections which is a welcome addition to their shopping experience. This showroom at d6 is our second venture in Kuala Lumpur. It also provides an aesthetic- and customer-oriented experience where our customers can truly enjoy the beauty, quality and craftsmanship of our collections. We have been receiving visits from designers and architects, and certainly this is a good start to our project and contract businesses. The good news is, we do not duplicate our collections. Visitors could expect a showcase of different collections in both showrooms at any one time."

Adding on, Vinson says, "Over the years, we have witnessed a growing appetite for innovative designs and inspiring masterpieces among our customers in Malaysia and I must say that this is very encouraging for the design and creative industry at large."

"The respect for design is a unique and distinct element of the Ligne Roset brand. We take pride in our creations simply because each designer piece here exudes passion (of the craftsman) and grandeur (of the craftsmanship). Our challenge today is also to protect its brand integrity and to blend its rich legacy with the highest standards of design, luxury and technology. To this end, we are happy to note that we have firm believers of our brand who appreciate this fusion of heritage with contemporary style."

And, why the Sentul East address for a luxury lifestyle brand? Vinson says, "Sentul East is undergoing a very interesting phase of urban renewal under the initiatives of its master planner, YTL Land. The rusticity of this decade-old railway town in KL city centre infused with the modernity of its architecturally stunning buildings creates an opportunity to transform this area into a destination for design, innovation and creativity. The retail mix that is unfolding in Sentul East Design Centre will eventually create a truly unique design community in Kuala Lumpur. For us at Ligne Roset, we are very proud to be a part of this design revolution."

Ligne Roset is located at Lot G-12, d6 at Sentul East, 801 Jalan Sentul, 51000 Kuala Lumpur.
