Chef Lew Ten Sin has been in the Japanese culinary industry for over 35 years and is one of Malaysia's foremost experts in Japanese cuisine. Although Chef Lew, in his 60s, hung up his apron last August, the lure of the professional kitchen proved too strong for him to remain idle. After receiving an offer, Lew made his comeback last month as Gonbei’s Japanese master chef.

Starhill is so lovely.”Carrera y Carrera, Spain’s most famous jeweller so beloved by jet setting socialites, first made waves in Madrid in 1885 when Manuel Carrera opened shop. It was not long before his jewels and dainty sculptures became a mainstay among Madrid’s elite and found favour in the court of Queen Maria Cristina de Habsburgo. Today, its name and tradition live on in a profusion of collections inspired mostly by flora and fauna. The head honcho is Nathalie Guedj, who cut her teeth in such sterling companies as Christofle, Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels USA for over 20 years before decamping to Carrera y Carrera’s Madrid headquarters.
