This is the event’s tenth annual event which also co-host The Global Good Governance™ awards. The organisers delivered on its promise to bring the 10th year event edition to a brand new level with a bold agenda, thought provoking speakers, entertainment and glitz at the Sheraton Senggigi Beach Resort in Lombok, Indonesia. About 180 senior delegates from leading corporations across the region attended the event exceeding the initial venue capacity of 150. The event is an exclusive, pay to enter event, attended by senior executives, CSR professionals and NGOs. The theme for this 10th golden year event, “Rethinking CSR for the Next Decade”, challenges participants to reflect upon the journey that the CSR community has embarked over the past decade. Over 20 high profile speakers at the event and will be covering wide ranging topics on the successes and mistakes in policy and decision making, case studies and best practices on CSR over the past decade. Ms. Martina Natratilova, Co-Founder of Peduli Anak Foundation was the first keynote speaker and shared her inspirational story of how she has successfully started and ran Lombok’s largest foundation providing residential care, family care, medical and healthcare services to hundreds of underprivileged children. The second keynote speaker was Mr Doug Woodring, a renowned environmentalist and founder of Ocean Recovery Alliance spoke of how technology could be utilised in CSR programmes to solve some of the world’s greatest environmental problems. The event was chaired by Dr Martin Blake, founder of Blake Advisory Pte Ltd. Dr Blake is well known corporate mentor and an expert on corporate governance issues. The event ended with awards component - The Global CSR Awards™ and The Good Governance Awards™ Over 300 submissions were received this year and through a vigorous screening and evaluation process, 60 companies were shortlisted for the top awards. The guest of honour was Ms. Kurleni Ukar, Assistant Deputy for Industry and Regulation, Ministry of Tourism Republic of Indonesia.
