W@Y’s Knowing the Signs of Learning Differences

Kuala Lumpur, July 27, 2016

The Women @ YTL (W@Y) together with 54C held a session entitled ‘Knowing the Signs of Learning Differences’ at 54C, The YTL Learning Space.

Given that autism is a relatively sensitive topic but more common than expected, this talk was organised to increase the awareness about the various spectrums of autism and to discuss it in a safe environment.

The talk was presented by Cheng Yi Tan and Grace Leong, a chartered educational psychologist and clinical psychologist respectively from Oasis Place, a multidiscipline intervention centre for autism.

The session covered a range of areas such as the statistics of learning differences, signs of autism, diagnosing autism and places of support. Participants were then given the opportunity to ask questions during the Q&A session at the end.

Women @ YTL (W@Y) was established at YTL Leadership Conference 2015 by Jillian Quah to empower and support the women across the company, helping them grow and reach their full potential. Want to know more about W@Y? Feel free to contact Jillian at jillian.quah@ytl.com.my
